On the evening of Thursday, April 23, CALS units (M103, Farr) responded to support fire department crews at a house fire in the Cove Point Beach neighborhood. While en route, the call was upgraded to a working fire, prompting the response of units from more than seven area departments. CALS medics assisted with rehabilitation efforts and provided both operational and medical support throughout the incident, which involved over 50 firefighters.
Crews were met with heavy "hoarding" conditions on the inside of the structure during fire attack.
Cove Point Beach is known for its narrow sandy streets making apparatus positioning difficult.
M103 and EMS20D on scene with other Fire Apparatus.
