Calvert ALS Participates in Countywide Maritime Rescue Drill

In the early morning on Saturday, 25 Oct, CALS participated in a countywide maritime rescue drill near the Benedict Bridge. Assets launched within 30 minutes; six or seven simulated victims were rescued in 45 minutes, with the final victim ashore in 60 minutes. The exercise strengthened interoperability and focused on PPE, throw-bag use, SAR patterns, sonar, dewatering, diving, and unit-to-IC communications. Planning is underway for next year’s evolution.
