Thursday, 4th of July was a busy one for the CALS Volunteer Medic team (S. McKeever M101, R. Devere M104, C. Shannon Car10). The excitement started early as the call volume kicked off around 0900 and never looked back. During this 24 hour period CALS medics responded to, Medicals, MVC, Injured Subjects, Working Fire, and a Boat detail. The 3 volunteer medics handled 11 calls for service and made sure that all ALS calls were covered during this high call volume period. Volunteerism is alive and well at CALS, but we are always looking for new ALS providers to join our team.
