Friday night was a beautiful start to the Memorial day weekend in Calvert County. Calvert County is known for its quaint charm and and its beautiful waterways. With the start of the Memorial Day weekend Boat-10 headed out onto the Patuxent River to make sure that if anyone had any medical emergencies we were ready to respond. CALS took advantage of this beautiful evening to also train some of our members in boat operations (night ops) so that we are always prepared to respond if needed. Boat 10 launched in the Prince Frederick area and made its way down to the Solomons area where we met up with some of our Law Enforcement partners who were also making sure the Calvert County waterways were safe. After spending several hours in the Solomons area we made our way back to the Prince Frederick area once all the recreational boating had stopped. Boat 10 allows CALS members to have an ALS presence on the water in Calvert County between Memorial Day and Labor Day each year.
