At approximately 1500 hrs today CALS was alerted for an MVC involving a motorcycle in the Lusby area of the county. M102 J.Bonner was in the area and responded immediately. While enroute communications updated responders that there were two riders down in the street. With the update CMD 10 (PMIC Hiepler) and M101 marked up for the call. Once on scene all medics worked quickly to assess and package the patients. Both patients were medevac to a local trauma center for further care. Just two hours later CMD10 (Hiepler) was back at it responding to a patient with 3rd degree burns to his face from an o2 line that had caught fire on his face. PMIC Hiepler quickly consulted with the Medstar Burn center and was cleared for a medevac of the patient. while all this was happening Chief 10 who was covering the county picked up two medical calls.
