As everyone eagerly waited for the snow to start on Friday afternoon, CALS remained busy as usual throughout the day. At approximately 1430 CALS and Sq2 were alerted for a MVC reported serious with a trash truck on Rt-231 in Charles County. Chief 10 and Capt 10 had just finished a meeting and were at Rt-231 and Rt-4 and responded. Chief 10 and Capt 10 arrived on scene minutes after the arrival of the first Charles Co units and were the first EMS units on location. Capt 10 quickly assessed two patients and found one to be a Cat A and the other to be Cat D. Due to Charles County being so busy that day both Benedict and Hughesville units were already committed to calls in Charles County. Prince Frederick volunteer rescue squad was requested to respond as a 2nd transport unit. Upon the arrival of A1005 Capt 10 moved his patient to their unit and when A47 arrived Chief 10 patients was placed in their unit. Both patient were transported to the LZ for a medevac to PG trauma by MSP trooper 7.
