Yesterday 12/22/2016 was an important day at Calvert Advanced Life Support. While PMIC's Amy Freeman, and Shirley Millette ran calls as usual CALS surpassed the 5000 call mark for the first time in our 26 year history. This is an even more impressive feat since CALS continues to be 100% volunteer. CALS is the first organization in the county to surpass the 5000 call mark and the next closets company is approx 1500 calls behind us (Solomons). CALS is the youngest organization in the Calvert Fire & Rescue family and already the busiest by far. We rely on roughly 100 volunteer members (ALS & BLS) to help us keep or trucks and equipment maintained and ready for emergency responses. I want to thank each and every member of the CALS family for helping our organization as we continue to break records, way to go.
