In the middle of the night Huntingtown VFD and the Medic (PMIC Manifold) were alerted for the Accident Reported Serious in the area of Hunting Creek Rd and Bowie Shop Rd. Police arrived on-scene and found one person ejected from the vehicle with serious trauma. Units from Co. 6 and the medic arrived and attempted to stabilize the patient who was a Priority 1; Cat A trauma. With the Medevac helicopters down due to weather the decision was made to transport the patient to Calvert Memorial Hospital for stabilization prior to transfer to the regional trauma center. Patient is currently still undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the crash at an area trauma center.
