Medic unit runs crash after Police pursuit

On the evening of 04/08/16 CCSO deputies were in the Lusby area on patrol and noticed a suspisious vehicle, when they attempted to stop the vehicle the vehicle fled. A short chase ensued and the vehicle crashed into the Calvert Cliffs State park, rolling over and crashing down an embankment. The driver self extricated and took off on foot towards the woods. After only about 200ft the driver collapsed in a field. CCSO arrested the suspect and members from St.Leonard, Solomons, and the Medic unit began treatment of the driver. The driver reported being unbelted during the crash, after assessment a trauma consult was performed and the patient was accepted at PG trauma as a pri-2 CAT-C patient. A78 transported the patient to the LZ where Tpr 7 handled the medevac.
