CALS Member of the Month April 2015

CALS is pleased to announce that the member of the month for April 2015 is Jim Bonner. Jim has been very actively participating with various daily tasks at CALS. Jim is currently serving as the Chief Engineer and has been that role for many years. Jim oversees the vehicle maintenance program. Jim is also the Vehicle Committee Chairman, leading the design and purchase process for new CALS Medic Vehicles. He has come up with many new ideas to improve CALS procedures. Jim is always a quick phone call away and always willing to help CALS out with sudden vehicle needs. He has been able to cover many hours of duty for last minute sick calls, and immediate coverage needs on the schedule. Jim participates with the CALS strategic planning process, and special projects.

Jim has been performing his officer duties with extreme enthusiasm. Jim also has assisted with orienting new Paramedics on CALS procedures. Jim has always showed initiative by inquiring from the Chief and President if there were any "odds and ends" that we needed help with. In addition, Jim is a very operationally active member, he is the one of the current longest serving active Paramedics in the County. Jim was presented the first ever J. Richardson Award for lifetime achievement, at the 2015 CALS banquet.

Jim, THANK YOU!!!

- Chief, Stephen Stanton & President, Stanley Harris

This "Member of the Month" will enjoy many benefits associated with the privilege. The member of the month will Enjoy a Gift from a fine establishment, have a picture displayed in the Day room, be awarded a certificate of appreciation, will be featured in the newspaper, and be issued their own personal parking spot at CALS for the month.
Picking a member of the month is difficult due to the vast number of very dedicated members we have, but it is our goal to honor members for a job well done and make it known that we see "the work performed behind the scenes".
