Passing of Life Member John Hassler

CALS announces the passing of life member John Hassler. John joined CALS in the early 1990s, shortly after the organization was established to bring advanced life support coverage to Calvert County residents. He was a paramedic with the Maryland State Police and chose to serve his local community by helping ensure access to advanced EMS care.
John played an important role in CALS’s development in its early years and contributed significantly to the organization’s progress. He passed away on Thursday, September 24, surrounded by family members. John was a committed volunteer who dedicated his time not only to CALS but also to the St-Leonard Volunteer Fire Department.
CALS extends sincere condolences to John’s family during this difficult time. His service has made a lasting impact on residents and visitors in Calvert County.

Planned for 3:00–3:30 p.m. at Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens, 3270 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, Maryland.

• Celebration of life:
Following the graveside service at Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department.
