At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, Calvert County 911 received a call reporting an injured child at a local school. The incident was initially dispatched as a basic life support (BLS) call, but as further information became available, the medic on duty responded to assist.

Medics from M101, including PMIC K. Kreider, A. Dickson, and Intern J. Meurrens IV, arrived on scene shortly after the transport unit and evaluated the child's injuries. The injuries were determined to be serious enough to require transport to Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Maryland State Police Trooper 7 was requested to provide air transport to the facility.
