| This EMS Week, we want to recognize and thank our more than 50 dedicated volunteer members of Calvert Advanced Life Support (CALS) who answer the call day and night to serve our neighbors.
For over three decades, our volunteers have remained dedicated to providing advanced life support care to our residents and visitors here in Calvert County. Whether responding to life-threatening emergencies, training countless hours to maintain advanced medical skills, or supporting one another behind the scenes, our members consistently represent professionalism, compassion, and service in our community.
Each call answered, every life touched, and every hour volunteered reflects their dedication to our community, while our members also balance careers, families, school, and personal responsibilities.
We are always thankful for our partner EMS departments throughout the county, our partner fire departments, CCSO, and our dispatchers, that make every day possible for our volunteers.
To all of our volunteer paramedics, EMTs, support personnel, and families who make these sacrifices possible: Thank you. Your service does not go unnoticed. We are grateful, and our community is stronger because of you.
