On Friday night, several members of CALS began preparations for the season’s first significant snow event. Volunteer paramedics enhanced emergency response by staffing between three and seven additional advanced life support units across the county during the storm.

With support from both career and CALS personnel, Calvert County residents were well protected throughout the winter storm. In response to severe weather conditions, CALS units were strategically deployed to reduce response times for serious incidents requiring advanced medical care.

The following medics contributed to storm coverage:

Assistant Chief J. Meurrens
Deputy Chief A. LaVigne
Captain T. Farr
Lieutenant T. Wahab
Paramedic N. Poling
Paramedic E. March
Paramedic R. Schapiro
Paramedic R. Middleton
Paramedic C. Winchell
Paramedic N. Wardle-Johnson
