| On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, right after finishing training on the Lifepak 35, PMIC Robert Schapiro in M103 was en route back to the station. As he was approaching the Rt-4/Rt-231 intersection, Calvert dispatched a call for a person with chest pain following a traumatic injury at a car dealership in Prince Frederick. PMIC Schapiro added himself to the call and was the first arriving unit. He, along with several members from the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad, assessed the patient and determined that he needed to go to a trauma center. PMIC Schapiro performed a trauma consult and requested the use of Maryland State Police Aviation. The team transported the patient to the LZ at Calvert Health Medical Center and handed the patient off to Trooper 7 who then transported him to a Regional Trauma center. |
