On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, CALS participated in the Healthy Back to School at the Market Touch-a-Truck event, hosted by CalvertHealth Medical Center.

This annual community event, now in its fourth year, provides local families with health, wellness, and nutrition resources while also offering kids a fun opportunity to explore emergency and service vehicles up close. Children and their families were able to meet with first responders and community groups, check out their trucks and apparatus, and get a closer look at the equipment they rely on every day.

In addition to the vehicle displays, the event featured educational activities, back-to-school resources, and school supply drives supported by local organizations to help prepare Calvert County students for the upcoming school year.

CALS is proud to support community health and safety initiatives and looks forward to continuing its involvement in future outreach events.
