At approx 1115 am this morning units in the Solomons area were alerted for the report of a motorcyclist down in the area on northbound Rt-4 and Dowell Rd. Units from Solomons VFD were on scene within minutes of dispatch and reported 2 priority patients and possibly a 3rd with a large number of motorcycles in the roadway. M101 (PMIC Conto), Chief10 (Shannon), EMS20D (Kivett) and PA203 (PMIC Mister) were all on the call. Units from Solomons triaged all patients and requested MSP aviation for 2 patients. All providers worked together to package and treat both patients prior to MSP arrival. Both patients were transferred to MSP aviation and air lifted to trauma centers. One of the patients did receive life saving pre-hospital blood from MSP troopers prior to arrival at the trauma center.
