CALS Loses Member to Off-Duty MVC

The members and family of Calvert Advanced Life Support were devastated to learn that our member Marcus Paxton was killed in an off-duty MVC in Prince Georges County early this morning. Marcus leaves behind two young children. Marcus was a full-time member of the Baltimore City Fire Department and worked part-time for Charles County DES, as well as being an active volunteer with CALS and Bay District. Marcus worked several part time jobs to provide for his children and family. Marcus always had a smile and was willing to do anything to help out our organization and its members. He will be greatly missed by all.

I cannot express how saddened I am to lose Marcus. He made the world a better place for everyone who knew him. He was a loving father for his son and two daughters. He would always tell me what adventures he had enjoyed with them and their mother. Marcus spent his life giving to others. I am blessed to have had such a fantastic friend.
