This Sunday was the first nice warm weather of the year and as usual it brought a higher than usual call volume to the Medic Unit. At approx 9 am Units from the Dunkirk area and the Medic were alerted for an accident reported serious on Rt-260. Squad 5 arrived to find a vehicle that had rolled over several times. Dunkirk Members along with North Beach A18 quckly packaged the patients and requested Medevac to a local trauma center. M104 (PMIC Freeman, Intern E.Richardson) assessed both patients and assisted with patient loading into the aircraft. United States Park Police Eagle 2 handled the medevac and took provider E Richardson with them as the 2nd provider for the 2nd patient. Later in the day Command 10 responded to Stoakley rd for the report of one thrown from a horse. Crews worked with A48 packaging the patient who was laying in a field. Once packaged patient was transported to CMH helipad for medevac by MSP Trooper 7.
