Medics Run Technical Rescue

At approx 1330 Monday afternoon St-Leonard Vfd and CALS were alert for a report of a "Special Rescue" a man trapped in the dump box of a dump truck on the side of Rt-4 at a construction site. Due to the high call volume for the medic unit "No Medic Available" was dispatched for this call. PMIC Katzer arrived on scene with Chief 7 and upgraded the ambulance from co.7 to PEIP for the call. M105 (PMIC Livingston and Medic Student Folliard) cleard the hopsital approx 13 mins after dispatch and respond to the scene due to reports of the subject still being trapped. Members from Squad 7, Squad 2 worked very hard to stabilize and extricate the patient as quickly as possible. MSP trooper 7 landed on Rt-4 just north of the accident site and once remove patient care was transferred to the medics on Trooper 7.
