Medics Run Fatal Pedestrian Struck in Prince Frederick

On Tuesday afternoon around 1630 units in the Prince Frederick area and CALS were alerted for the report of a pedestrian struck on Dares Beach Rd. Chief 10C (Sturmer) was in the Utility vehicle covering an open shift and responded from the office. Capt 10 (Hiepler) was in the area and responded as the 2nd medic. Chief 10C arrived on location with the 1st arriving unit and immediately began treating the patient who was found to be in Trauma Arrest. Despite all heroic efforts by the EMS and Fire personnel on scene the patient succumbed to her injuries on scene.
