On 3/9/18 just before dark the Calvert County Sheriffs Office put out a call for a missing person in the Calvert Cliffs State Park. A CALS Volunteer Paramedic assigned to the Sheriffs Office Special Operations Team responded to assist in the search and standby in the event of any injuries to the missing person or the searching law enforcement officers and their working dogs. With nightfall approaching a request for aviation and thermal imaging capabilities was made. The search was conducted by Calvert County Sheriffs deputies, Maryland State Police Troopers from the Prince Frederick Barrack, K9 Units from both agencies, MSP Trooper 7 and Volunteers from the Solomon's Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad (Company 3) whom brought with them hand held thermal imagers and eventually Ambulance 39. The missing subject was found about an hour after the initial search began with minor injuries and was transported to CHMC by ambulance.
