Today Dominion Cove Point recognized several providers from CALS and Solomon's vfd for a cardiac arrest save that occurred on the Cove Point Site back in October. PMIC's Jeri Mumper and Robert Schapiro were recognized for their work in providing care to a Dominion employee who suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest in the construction area. Co-workers who were trained in CPR immediately began to provide care to their co-worker while another employee brought an AED to the scene. The patient received two shocks along with several minutes of CPR but thanks to the efforts of the Dominion employees the patient had a pulse and blood pressure upon the arrival of Solomon's and CALS units. The employee has made a full recovery and is back to work at Cove Point. Today at the luncheon, was a chance for friends, family and co-workers and EMS providers to all come together and celebrate the incredible team work that saved this employees life. Dominion Cove Point also today showed their continued support of local Fire/EMS agencies by making donations to both organizations to help us support our volunteer organizations. Thank you Dominion
