The 4th of July holiday has always been a busy time for Calvert County Paramedics and this year was no different. Starting Saturday until Wednesday’s medics ran almost 90 calls for service. M102 (PMIC R.Shapiro, Driver M.Paxton) ran 15 calls from noon on the 3rd to 11 am on the 4th. These 15 calls produced 3 flyouts and 8 transports to local hospitals. One MVC during the shift produced two Pri-1, CAT-D patients that were handled by MSP Trooper 7. Due to the high call volume M104 (PMIC S.Fitzgerald) and Capt.10 (Hiepler) came in service and assisted with calls throughout the shift.
