CALS Handles Industrial Accident in Prince Frederick

On Monday afternoon at approx. 1330 Calvert Control was notified of an injured worker at the Direct Mail facility. Chief 10 who was in the area marked up and responded to the scene. En route communications updated the call that the subject was "not trapped" in the machine and that he did not have serious injuries. Chief 10 arrived on scene with Chief 4B and found an employee sitting in a chair at the top of a loading ramp. Upon further assessment the patient was found to have serious lacerations and an avulsion to his arm. A dual consult was performed and aviation was granted. A49 transported the patient to the landing site with Chief 10 as the medic.
