Two People Med Evac after Crash

At approx 1400 hrs today Calvert Control alerted Prince Frederick Rescue Squad and St-Leonard Vfd to a reported crash at Rt-4 southbound at Broomes Island Rd. Chief 10 was in the area and added himself to the call. Chief 10 arrived on scene first with CCSO units and reported a two vehicle T-bone style accident with heavy intrusion on a passenger car and two patients laying on the ground beside the passenger car. Chief10 began assessing the patients with the help of the crew from A48 and requested additional ALS units. Chief 10 and A48 focused their initial care on a pediatric patient with a possible unstable pelvic injury and a fractured femur. Squad 7 and A77 arrived soon after and took over care of the second patient. Command was established by Chief 7A and M105 responded as the second medic bringing PMIC's J.Bonner and F. Larkin to the scene. Chief 10 and J.Bonner took care of the pediatric patient while PMIC Larkin took over care of the other adult laying beside the vehicle. MSP trooper 7 landed at the scene and transported both patients to a local trauma center.
