At approximately 1300 hrs today units from St.Leonard and Prince Frederick were alerted to an MVC on Rt-4 @ Governors run rd. Chief 10 who was already on the road added himself to the call and arrived on scene first finding one car in the intersection with two occupants semi-conscious still in the car and one vehicle down an embankment. Chief 10 passed the command to Rescue Squad 7 and Chief 7B and requested additional ALS resources to deal with several seriously injured patients. M104 (Chief 10B Sturmer) who was in the area added himself to the call and PA49 (PMIC Inscoe) arrived soon after. Rescue Squad 7 quickly extricated the trapped passenger and turned her over to PA49 while M104 took over care of the driver with Chief 10. Once both patients were packaged and evaluated in units Chief 10 was requested to check on a patient who was in the care of A39. MSP trooper 7 landed on Rt-4 N and picked up both passenger and driver, while Chief 10 was with A39 who had evaluated their patient to be a pri-2 CAT D and had consulted with PG. SYSCOM was notified of the request for second helicopter for a 3rd patient who eventually ended up being transported by MSP trooper 2 to MEDSTAR DC.
Later in the evening M103 PMIC Millette was alerted for a subject laying unconscious in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle in North Beach. PMIC Millette arrived on scene and worked with the crews from North Beach to package an adult male for transport to PG trauma via MSP trooper 1.
