Another year of 5,000+ Calls

Well 2017 has come and gone and CALS continues to be Maryland's last 100% volunteer ALS system. CALS and it's volunteers responded to over 5000 calls for the second year straight. This amazing feat is carried out by approximately 50 dedicated volunteer paramedics and about 20 volunteer BLS members. It wasn't easy but we pulled it off, the majority of the time we had 2 or more medics on duty in the county providing ALS care. CALS is always looking for more paramedics to help us and we are happy to see that we continue to get applications from medics all around the state. I want to thank each member of CALS and the community and businesses that supported us as we volunteered to provide 24/7 ALS coverage to the residents and visitors of Calvert County. Here is to another year of 5000+ calls in 2018.
