CALS wishes to thank the leadership of IBM for awarding CALS a $2000 donation to help our organization with funds to purchase training and operational equipment. This is the first time in our history we have received a donation from IBM. CALS is Maryland's last 100% Advanced Life Support organization and its members work very hard to provide the residents and visitors of Calvert County ALS coverage 24/7. CALS is a unique organization even within Calvert County since the entire county is our "first due". CALS tries to fundraise without impacting the other volunteer Fire & EMS departments in the county. CALS does not receive any funds that are collected by other county departments during their "fund drives". The leadership of CALS is always seeking alternative methods to raising funds to support our agency and this donation from IBM represents our success.
