At approximately 2000 hrs on Sunday night CALS and surrounding units were alerted for the accident reported serious with ejection at Rt-4 @ White Sands Dr. Immediately M101 (PMIC Laska) and M103 (PMIC Paiva) marked up from Prince Frederick. Once on the TAC channel units were updated that the accident was a confirmed rollover with a pediatric ejection laying in the roadway. Chief10 who was in the area added himself to the call. Communications advised they were pre-alerting the "trooper" based on reports from the scene, Captain 7 arrived on scene shortly after dispatch POV and established the command. Captain 7 advised one in the roadway and two still in the vehicle semi-conscious, requesting a 2nd helicopter. Due to patients laying in the roadway Rt-4N was completely shutdown, this allowed M101 and other co.7 units to respond southbound in the northbound lanes to get to the scene quicker. All medics arrived on scene at the same time and quickly divided up and triaged all the patients, M101 took the ejected child, M103 took an adult with severe head laceration, and Chief10 took a 10 year old and a 2 month child that had minor injuries from the crash. All patients were quickly packaged and transported to the LZ at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Plant. Troopers flew all patient to Childrens National and Medstar Trauma in DC.
